The Storehouse
The Storehouse

The Storehouse is a new ministry in Robertson County set to open this fall in Cross Plains.

The Storehouse will share the good news of Jesus Christ with lost and hurting people as we provide food and other assistance to persons in the geographical area of Robertson County.

Isaiah 117
Isaiah 117

Isaiah 117 House provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement.

When children are removed from their homes out of the concern for their welfare, they are usually brought to the Department of Children’s Services Offices to await placement with a foster family. This wait can be several hours to nearly a full day. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and often in dirty clothing.

Isaiah 117 wants to provide a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait-a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide them clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space will allow children to receive the comfort and care they need while DCS staff are able to the necessary paperwork and identify a good foster placement. We want to walk alongside DCS to love on children on their hardest day, support caseworkers and partner with foster families to ease the transition.

Isaiah 1:17 says:

“Defend the cause of the fatherless.” We believe this is God’s calling for this ministry.

Care and Share Closet
Care and Share Closet

One way that Mt. Carmel serves our local community is through our Care and Share Closet. This food pantry is available every other Monday, by appointment or on Sundays during church hours. Those in need are able to come once a month in order to pick up basic necessities for their household. The cool thing about our Care and Share closet is that it is completely donation based! Each week we ask the congregation to bring in an item that we are in need of in the closet, and every week we see the Lord provide.

Want to help?

Care and Share is always in need of these items:

Shampoo and Conditioner, Cereal, Canned Corn and Green Beans, Spaghetti Sauce, Deodorant, Canned or Boxed Pastas, and Toilet Paper.

We Care Weeks
We Care Weeks

We share our love to our community through We Care weeks throughout the year! We care about so many aspects of our community and we want to show the folks who make it happen how much we love them. From the schools, to the businesses, and to the residents who make Cross Plains unique and special – THANK YOU!
