The Gathering
The Gathering

Mt Carmel Students

6:15 – 7:30 PM each Wednesday (Hangout Begins at 6)

The Gathering is a place for middle and high school students (6th-12th grade) to belong, have fun, and grow. The Gathering happens weekly, during the school year, on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:30 PM. At the Gathering, your student will experience some fun, high-energy team activities focused on developing stronger relationships between the students. They will also experience moments of worship built to deepen their relationship with Jesus and small-group discussion that allows them to be honest about the things happening in their life.

The Gift of Empathy
The Gift of Empathy

Begins August 13 – Pastor Russ will be leading

Empathy is something we all need—and it’s something we all can give.

Biblical empathy, rooted in compassion and love, involves actively understanding and sharing the feelings and experiences of others, mirroring God’s own compassion. It’s not just about feeling sorry for someone, but actively entering into their emotional world and seeking to understand their perspective. This understanding then motivates action to alleviate suffering and meet needs, mirroring Jesus’ own compassionate actions.

The Gift of Empathy: Helping Others Feel Valued, Cared for, and Understood presents a fresh approach to a familiar concept, providing practical insights and real-life examples that equip readers to relate in empathetic ways that make a difference in the lives of all those they encounter.

The Book of Hebrews
The Book of Hebrews

Beginning October 22 with Ginda Holston leading

Join us as we dive into the Book of Hebrews, a letter that challenges and encourages believers to stay faithful to Christ. Together, we’ll explore how Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of God’s promises, the perfect high priest, and the foundation of our hope. Along the way, we’ll uncover practical lessons for trusting God, persevering through trials, and living with confidence in His eternal plan. Whether you’re new to Hebrews or revisiting it, this journey will deepen your understanding of Christ’s supremacy and inspire your daily walk of faith.
